On Friday, September 4, 2020 of Silver Spring, MD. Devoted father of Jodie (Glenn) Rappaport and Scott (Jodi) Rubin; loving brother of Dr. Norman (Fern) Rubin; cherished Pop-Pop of Sam, Alec, Hailey, Matthew and Kasey and "fur-grandbabies" Wally, Ziggy and Harley. He graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1968 with a B.S.degree, and a Doctor of Optometry degree. He served as an army captain at Lyster Army Hospital in Enterprise, Alabama through 1970. Jay practiced optometry in Maryland for more than four decades. He enjoyed spending time with his son and daughter, and five grandchildren as well as hiking, and golf.
