Lawrence Cohn

Lawrence "Larry" Cohn (1943 - 2025)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence N Cohn (Larry), who died peacefully on March 27, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.  Larry was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Born on September 3, 1943, in Washington, DC, Larry attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School, Carleton College in Northfield, MN, and Cornell Law School. He had a long and distinguished career at the Cohn & Marks law firm where he practiced communications law. Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Rita Cohn; son, Matthew Cohn (Nicole); daughter Leah Cohn (Devlin); sister, Barbara Cohn (Bill); and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Susan Cohn.

Larry loved the law; he was an avid reader of history and politics and loved discussing both; he loved his racquetball buddies; and he loved swinging kettlebells.

A celebration of life will be held on April 12 at 11 a.m. at Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Larry Cohn Memorial Fund at Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church, which played a central part in the latter years of Larry's life.
