Lee was born January 29, 1942 in Washington, DC. 

From Lee's younger sister Jackie Heflin Howle:

Lee passed away July 1, 1990, at age 49, near his home in The Plains, Virginia. He suffered from bipolar disorder and, sadly, took his own life.

He and his first wife, Fay Gilmer Horisk had three children:, Laura Fay Ryan of PA, Michael DavidHeflin of VA, and Brian Edward Heflin, deceased. He had three grandchildren Jessica, Rocky and Taylor Ryan. Lee married twice more but had no other children. He has another sister, Nancy Heflin Pell of Oak Hill, VA, and an older brother John Norford Waters-Heflinof Vienna, VA. John was also a B-CC grad. Nancy and Jackie were graduated from Whitman. Lee's parents were John B. and Georgia L. Heflin.

Lee worked as a car salesman in VA.  I believe his last employment was part owner of AppleNissan in Bethesda.

Lee was a fun-loving and generous soul and we miss him terribly.
