BELL, Patricia J. Longtime Largo resident Patricia Jean Bell, a retired social worker, died Sept. 1, 2014 at age 71 at East Bay Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Bell will be remembered by many for her generosity and years of service to her family, community, and friends. Ms. Bell was born in Washington DC Aug. 28, 1943, to John O. and Jeanette S. Bell. She was the second of three children. She attended public school in Montgomery County Maryland, and graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. She attended George Washington University where she was president of her sorority, Delta Zeta. She graduated from University of South Florida with honors and began a career of 35 years working with the State Division of Family services in Florida. Ms. Bell retired from the State of Florida as a Program Administrator and advocate for the aging community. The Area Agency on Aging for Pasco-Pinellas appreciates Patricia for her service on their Board of Directors as well as her friendship. She served on many Boards for Agencies throughout Florida and will be missed by her many co-workers who admired her devotion, dedication, and professionalism. Ms. Bell is survived by her sister, Kathleen O'Neil of Weaverville , NC, and her husband Paul. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Erin and Kelly, as well as her cousins, Bob, Tom, and Debbie Welsh, and John Gardiner. Her many friends, who were part of her larger family, will also remember her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Ms. Bell was predeceased by her brother, John.
