She was born on June 7, 1943, in Chevy Chase, MD, to her parents, who owned Danny's Pastry Shoppe. Sharon was a fun-loving lady who always brought laughter to those around her. Her love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and spending time with them brought her great joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sharon is survived by her son John Baker; her daughter Jackie Baker-Nees; her grandson Dustin Baker; and her granddaughters Casey Leach and Taylor Leach. From Sharon's on line obituary, written by her daughter: Our beloved mom and grandmother Sharon Baker left us on May 17th at the age of 79 just shy of her 80th birthday on June 7th. She was the proudest grandmother of three beautiful children - Dustin, Casey and Taylor. They adored her and she loved talking to them and hearing about their lives. She was a loving mother to John and Jackie and showed them lots of love and fun all throughout their lives. Sharon was born and raised in Chevy Chase MD and her career was centered around her parents bakery in Chevy Chase called Danny's Pastry Shoppe, where her father was famous for his beautifully decorated cakes and amazing pastries. She lived life with a positive attitude and always made everyone smile. We will miss your silliness and we love you very much Rest in Peace Mom/Grandma/Gigi.
